The VoiceMaster as Commencement Speaker at the St Nicholas Child Care Center Graduation
Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales was invited as the Commencement Speaker for the event. As an alumnus of the school during his pre-school years, Pocholo shared how he is delighted to be reunited with his former teachers and to be able to inspire the youth in his own hometown. In his talk which he called “I Heart M.A.R.I.V.E.L.E.S.,” Pocholo shared his meaning of the town’s name by giving each letter a meaning to motivate the students to become great and excellent citizens of the country. He took a trip down memory lane by sharing how Mariveles became his roots for developing his voice, until he moved to Manila to become one of the most respected and the greatest in his work. Pocholo also shared his talent to the audience by showcasing a repertoire of character voices he has done.
Pocholo also recognized and thanked the people who shaped his life – his family, relatives, and former teachers. He encouraged the students to always look back to what formed their skills, passions and values, no matter how far they get to go in their life’s journey.
Patrick Gabriel inspiring the graduating students
One of the highlights of his talks was when he called his own son onstage, Patrick Gabriel Gonzales. Patrick, the country’s youngest broadcaster and motivational speaker, inspired the students by sharing his life principles. He mesmerized the audience with his wit, voice acting talent, and moving words of wisdom.
